This Old Cat
Shopping Cart MessageYou have been directed to this page for one of two reasons:
- You have not put anything into your cart
- Your browser is not accepting cookies
You may be requesting to View Your Cart but have not placed anything into your cart yet. If so, you'll need to return to the site's shopping pages, and place something into your cart to initialize a cart so you can view it.
If you have placed at least one item already into your cart, and find yourself at this page, it is because your browser is not accepting cookies. You have attempted to call a cart function, but your browser did not allow a cookie to be set to initialize your shopping cart. In a rare case your browser may have lost our cookies reference to your order.
You browser may be configured in its settings to refuse cookies being sent to it, or you may have manually refused to accept the cookie. In order to use Shopping on this site, we need to set a harmless reference number for your orders. The number is meaningless, and contains absolutely no information about you, your internet activities, email, or anything else. The number is a long number, which has meaning only to the shopping system while you are shopping.
STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
This Old Cat and many other eCommerce providers use a small cookie to remember your shopping cart: the cookie is simply a reminder to the web page of what your shopping cart number is, so that it can store the things you put in the cart until such time as you want to "check out" and send the order to the web page's owner. This string poses no security or privacy risk to you, it is simply a reminder so that we can fetch the products you have on your order sheet when you click on the shopping cart/checkout icon. Otherwise, we would not remember what you had ordered before! Some browsers come with cookies turned off by default. This page is designed to help you enable cookies so that you may use the shopping cart feature at This Old Cat.
You need to have cookies enabled to use our on-line shopping cart to place an order at This Old Cat. The method of enabling cookies is described below, depending on the type of web browser you are using. After you have cookies enabled, try to log in again. For further instructions on how to change your cookies settings, please use your browser's HELP documentation to make the appropriate changes.
HELPFUL HINT: You may wish to enable cookies immediately prior to logging into www.thisoldcat.com, then disable them immediately after you've completely finished placing your order and left our site.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Changing settings on your web browser or other Internet applications can have consequences that affect the security of your computer as well as your online privacy. This document is intended merely to show you how to enable cookies on these two browsers. The decision on whether or not to change these settings is made by you, and you alone. You should not change application settings if you do not understand the implications involved in doing so. We encourage you to understand your privacy rights on the internet. Please note that in some environments, particularly corporate environments, your Network Administrator may have locked you out of being able to modify security settings for Internet Explorer.
